Stream to 3D in Real-World Use

Steamworks lifetime usage statistics show how extensively Stream to 3D has been used since launch.

Stream to 3D has been commercially available since 2023. Public reviews describe some customer experiences, but they cover only a small part of the people who have used the product. Steamworks lifetime usage data provides a broader, platform-reported view.

Most use is quiet, practical use

Stream to 3D is a utility: most normal workflows involve selecting a source, converting it and viewing the result. They do not require a community post or public review.

At the time of this report, the Steam store displayed 35 public reviews. That is about 3.7% of the 939 users measured in the lifetime usage report, leaving roughly 96% of measured users outside the public review count. The review section is therefore a small, self-selecting sample rather than a complete account of product use.

The usage distribution also shows a long tail: 29% reached at least five hours, 19% reached at least ten hours and 5% reached at least 50 hours.

How to read the figures

  • The figures are reported by Steamworks.
  • Steam records application running time. It does not identify which conversion workflow or method was used during every minute.
  • The report covers lifetime Steam use rather than Release 6 or Depth Guided use alone.
  • Running time demonstrates use, not each individual user's opinion. The public examples, trial and customer feedback provide separate ways to assess output and experience.
